Esther Granbois studied under internationally renown dance expert Lance Benishek. She performed dances of the 1910's through the 1960's with the Phipps American Dance Ensemble, and also performed with Gvanim, an Israeli folk dance troupe. While with the Phipps American Dance Ensemble Esther learned two original choreographies written and taught by dance legend and Tony Award winner Frankie Manning in 1992. As a member of the American Dance Ensemble, she was honored by the State of Minnesota and the State of South Carolina in 1993, for efforts to preserve the rich tradition of American dance. In 1997, Esther opened Rendezvous Dance Studio, where she taught along with other local instructors and guest teachers, including Chester Whitmore, Norma Miller, Marcus Koch and Barbl Kaufer, Simon Selmon, Markus Thyberg and Martina Herodes.
